The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, is organizing the 9th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE 2011) from 28-30 September, 2011 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
IREE is the largest event for the Railway Sector in India with active participation of Indian Railways in the Exhibition, Conference and networking initiatives. In the previous edition of the exhibition held in August 2009, a large number of Indian Railway production units have participated and displayed the future requirements and offerings from Indian Railways. Senior officials from these units of the Indian Railways were also present for discussions and networking throughout the exhibition period.
As technological up-gradation is the top priority of Indian Railways and many areas have been thrown open for private sector participation, it would be a great opportunity for companies–domestic and international–to showcase their latest products and technology and meet the current and future requirement of the Indian Railways. The IREE 2011 will facilitate partnerships, joint ventures; technology transfer initiatives, and create an ideal platform for manufacturers and service providers to interact with senior officials from Ministry of Railways. There is a tremendous scope in India to bring in the right technology and join hands with world- renowned companies for meeting the needs of Indian Railways.
During the Exhibition, an International Conference on Railways is also planned, highlighting various aspects relating to the modernization of Indian Railways. More information on the exhibition including registration form for exhibitors, fact sheet and application for advertisement in the fair catalogue, is available on the website: www.ireeindia.com.
