Visit of Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H.E Mr. Ivailo Kalfin to India (28 February – 4 March, 2009)

Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E Mr. Ivailo Kalfin paid an official visit to New Delhi from 28 February – 4 March, 2009 at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of India H.E Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. He called on the Vice-President of India H.E Mr. Hamid Ansari and met with his Indian counterpart H.E Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. He also paid a visit to Agra. Mr. Kalfin also addressed the representatives of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (FICCI) about investment opportunities in Bulgaria. An agreement for abolishment of visa regime in respect of diplomatic and official passport holders of both the countries and the Programme for cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture for the period 2009-11 was signed during the visit.
