XVI Session of the India-Bulgaria Joint Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation (April 8-9, 2010 - Sofia)

The 16th Session of the India-Bulgaria Joint Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held in Sofia on April 8-9, 2010. A protocol identifying areas of cooperation was signed by Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon'ble Minister of State for Commerce and Industry from the Indian side and Mr Traycho Traykov, Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria from the Bulgarian side. The Joint Commission discussed cooperation to enhance bilateral trade and investments, food, textiles, leather, pharmaceuticals, science and technology, SMEs, energy especially new and renewable energy, engineering goods and tourism, agriculture and Information Technology. During his two day visit, Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also held bilateral talks with Mr. Miroslav Naydenov, Minister of Agriculture and Food and Mr. Aleksandar Tsvetkov, Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications. During bilateral discussions, areas where bilateral cooperation could yield concrete results were identified.
