Entry into force of the Treaty on the Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between India and Bulgaria (9 October, 2008)
The Treaty on the Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between India and Bulgaria was signed during the visit of Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev to India during September 10-15, 2007. The Protocol for Exchange of Instruments of Ratification were signed and the Instruments of Ratification exchanged in respect of this Treaty between H.E Lal Dingliana, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Bulgaria and H.E Radion Popov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria on 9 September 2008 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Treaty entered into force on 9 October 2008 as per Article 22 of the Treaty according to which the Treaty shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date on which the Instruments of Ratification were exchanged.
