Signing of Protocol on Exchange of Instrument of Ratification of Treaty on Extradition between India and Bulgaria.

A Protocol on Exchange of Instrument of Ratification of Treaty on Extradition between the Government of the Republic of India and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria was signed by Secretary (West) on Indian side and Bulgarian Ambassador H.E. Mr. Dragovest Goranov from the Bulgarian side, on 21 December, 2006. On the occasion, the Instruments of Ratification were also exchanged between the two sides.

The Extradition Treaty between India and Bulgaria was signed on October 23, 2003 during the State Visit of President to Bulgaria. The Extradition Treaty will be effective from February 1, 2007.
